Tennis, anyone?

I found this quote in the book, The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating, by Elisabeth Tova Bailey.

Think not of the amount to be accomplished,
the difficulties to be overcome, or the end to be attained,
but set earnestly at the little task at your elbow, letting
that be sufficient for the day.
-Sir William Osler, physician
(1849-1919)

Somehow, this really applies to my household, where living with a teething, potty-training two-year-old makes for a very challenging daily existence!

The book, by the way, is excellent and I would highly recommend it. Very small, very readable, about a woman who, while recovering from illness, takes in a wild snail as a companion. Very interesting and lots of cool facts about snails.
