A Close Call

The PTO president called me two days ago, asking me to take a leadership role on the board for the upcoming school year. I was initially flattered, and because I want to be as involved in the school as possible, I almost said yes. I decided to take a few days to think it over.....and ultimately made the best decision by saying no. Instead, I told the president that I'd be willing to help out in other ways - ways that would involve less time commitment and less responsibility. I'm trying very hard to jealously guard the time I have, especially the time I have with CR and RJ. And because I recently took on a professional volunteer thing, the time just isn't right. I can always step up to the plate in future years...
