Gotta LOVE those book sales!

On Saturday we went to our library's annual paperback book sale. We scored 24 books for 12 dollars, and that was enough books for everyone in the family. I got a book titled, "Mud Pies and Other Recipes" by Marjorie Winslow. CR and I looked all the way through it. Here is her favorite recipe: "Marigold Madness - Shred several marigolds in a pan and fill with water. Set the pan in the sun to simmer. When the liquid has turned to gold, strain into bowls and put in the shade to cool. Serve chilled." And here is my favorite recipe: "Stuffed Sea Shells - Scoop up a shovelful of sand that has just been licked by a wave. Pack this into the tiniest sea shells you can find. Sprinkle these with a pinch of dry sparking sand and serve."
