DD and I just made this cake and it was SO much fun! We found the recipe in our local newspaper.
5-Minute Chocolate Mug Cake
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional, but we used them)
Splash of pure vanilla extract (we didn't use, but would use next time)
Pour all dry ingredients into a large mug and mix well. Add egg and mix well. Add milk and oil and mix well. Put mug in microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1,000 watts. (The recipe says to cook it for about 2 and a half minutes if you like the center runny. Every microwave is different. We cooked ours for 3 minutes and it was too long, so I'd recommend less time). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed. Allow to cool a little and tip it onto a plate, if desired. Enjoy!
