We joined in to a neighborhood tag sale this weekend. There were supposed to be four families selling stuff, including ours, but one family dropped out so there were only four, still a good number. To get ready, Dear Daughter (DD) and I sorted through some of her old toys, including some things we've been saving for her sister. Dear Daughter had fun looking through and playing with blocks and shakey toys and music boxes. Looking through all of the old board books brought back memories for me - Good Night, Moon, The Napping House, Down By the Bay.
As it turned out, we were only able to put out a few "old" toys, things that we figured we could part with. All of DD's stuff still looked pretty good, and we definitely didn't want to get rid of anything that we might be able to use. (Truthfully, I think we're all just a bunch of pack rats in this household!).
