Blue Bird of (Knitted) Happiness - NOT

Well, I finished knitting the little bluebird I had been working on, but when I finished stuffing the bird body, I realized that what I had made, following the pattern exactly, did not match the photo that came with the bird. Drat! I kept going, though, finishing the beak, tail and wings. I assembled it and the biggest problem now is that the beak is miles to big for the bird's head. Rats! I'm really disappointed with this project. Dear Daughter, however, loves it and has claimed it for her own. I've decided, even though I've already sewn the beak on, that I'm going to take it off and knit a new, smaller one. That way, it won't look so bizarre! I'll post before and after pictures soon.
