"I saw it in The New Yorker"

Ahh, out of the mouths of babes. Yesterday, as we were strolling downtown, DD noticed a book in a shop window. "Mommy!" she exclaimed, "I saw that book in your New Yorker!" I was a bit taken aback...I mean, I know DD is smart, but reading the New Yorker, already, at five years of age??

(The book did have butterflies on the cover, which was probably what originally caught her eye, but STILL - I'm just amazed that she even bothered to pick up this particular magazine!)
