Finally, some good news. We just heard that our travel authorizations are in the air, to arrive at our agency either late today, or on Monday or Tuesday of next week. As soon as it is received, our appointment with the US Consulate can be arranged. We will know fairly quickly when we will travel to China.
There is concern that, due to the Chinese New Year falling on February 14, 2010, we won't be able to get our US Consulate appointment until after that. This would be very bad for us, because it would mean that our travel could be significantly delayed. Essentially, it would mean the difference in us traveling at the end of January, versus the end of February. To us, and to our new daughter, this is a HUGE difference.
