Hard to believe that we've been home from China, as a family of four, for exactly 90 days. I've been reading an excellent book about parenting internationally adopted children. Here is what it says about the types of changes any child adopted from another country experiences:
Change of caregivers
Change of parents - birth, foster, adoptive
Change of living space
Change of daily routines
Change of country and culture
Change of diet and nutrition
Change of access to health care and education
Change of language
It really makes you appreciate what these children go through.
Oops - baby awake from morning nap - more later!
