This is getting OLD!!!!

Okay, so we are STILL waiting for our power to turn on. We had hoped to be home today, dealing with the mess, but there are still areas of our town that don't have any power, and our street, unfortunately, is among them. We have had no school for the past 4 days and my guess is that there will be no school tomorrow. The girls are doing very well, considering the disruption and lack of routine, but we can't wait until this is over. The temperatures are dropping and so it is unpleasant to be home, even during the day. We do feel very lucky that our home and property were not damaged, but still....we feel we've waited our turn for the power to turn on. Apparently there are only 2 power crews designated for our town, and there is only so much they can do in a given 24 hour period. BUT it is hard not to be impatient, especially since we hear of more and more people who have gotten their power back. This is starting to feel like last year's Tropical Storm Irene, when we were one of the last streets to get power, after waiting for seven days.
