Taking Care of Babies

Last week when we were at the library, DD said she wanted to take out a “nonfiction book about taking care of babies" (her words). She was really very serious about it and set about using the electronic card catalog to find one. We actually found a great (non-adoption-themed) book called, What to Expect When the New Baby Comes Home by Heidi Murkoff. It has lots of different ideas about babies, written from a kid’s point of view. DD hasn’t wanted to read the book cover to cover, but she has looked at the pictures and seemed most interested in the chapter about why babies cry (!). I think she’s expecting a lot of crying….!!
